Tips On Choosing The Right Repair Shop

Choosing a Repair Shop Checklist:
Here are some tips from the nonprofit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) on finding a good repair establishment:

Start shopping for a repair facility before you need one.
Ask friends and associates for recommendations; consult local consumer organizations.
Arrange for alternate transportation in advance so you will not feel forced to choose a shop based solely on location.
Look for a neat, well-organized facility, with vehicles in the parking lot equal in value to your own and modern equipment in the service bays.
Look for a courteous staff, with a service writer willing to answer all of your questions.
Look for policies regarding labor rates, diagnostic fees, guarantees, acceptable methods of payment, etc.
Ask if the repair facility specializes or if it usually handles your type of repair work.
Look for signs of professionalism in the customer service area such as civic, community, or customer service awards.
Look for evidence of qualified technicians: trade school diplomas, certificates of advanced course work etc.

Oil Change

Tire Rotation

Rotate tires and check each tires air pressure adjusting up or down to the recommended PSI. Rotation fee is waived if a vehicle repair is performed exceeding $250.00. Please request for tire rotation at the same time repair is being performed....

Automatic Transmission - Transaxle Service - $239.95 + tax

INCLUDES: Removal of transmission bottom oil pan if applicable, replacement of filter and gasket, Refill up to 5 quarts of conventional fluid. (price applies to most cars & trucks). NOTE: Price subject to increase should vehicle require additional fluid. Includes inspection of CV axle shaft assemblies....

NOTE: CVT Transmission drain & fill up to 4 quarts - $189.95 + tax (Price subject to increase should vehicle require additional fluid & or filter)

Manual Transmission Service

Drain & fill transmission oil, inspect clutch and adjust if needed. Inspect clutch slave cylinder, master cylinder and hydraulic lines topping off w/hydraulic fluid if needed. (price applies to most cars & trucks)

Transfer Case or Differential (rear end) Service

Drain & fill up to 2 quarts conventional gear oil. Inspect driveshaft assemblies. NOTE: Some transfer case units and differentials require synthetic gear oil and or friction modified additives at additional cost. (price applies to most cars & trucks)

Cooling System Flush

Drain radiator and flush best as possible. Removal of rust and scale deposits prevents overheating therefore extending the life of your vehicle. Refill cooling system up to 2 gallons of conventional 50/50 mixture coolant/antifreeze. NOTE: Some vehicles require new technology coolant/antifreeze at additional cost. (most cars & trucks)
